Training of Tch'an and Sumie ink painting

has been practicing the Tch'an and Sumi-e art since 1985 under the guidance of a Chinese master. He organises courses throughout France and Europe.
His book "L'Esprit du Geste" (Spirit of the brushstroke) was published by the "Editions du Chêne" constitutes a clear and concise basis for learning tch'an and sumie painting. It offers great personal creativity, more interior and spiritual approach related to the traditions of China and Japan. This teaching allows a just adaptation of our Western perception of Art.
In July 2006 in Savoie and in june 2011 in south of France, he organized the First and second International meeting of painting and calligraphy by inviting painters from China, Japan, Taïwan, Mongolie, Corea and Europe.
He has been the first western painter to exhibit his work in the Beijing Rong Bao Zhai gallery in may 2013.
In june 2014 he will exhibit at the Museum of the FIne Arts Academy of Hangzhou.
Robert FAURE' s teaching is based both on the acquiring techniques and on a more interior and spiritual approach related to the traditions of China and Japan. This teaching allows a just adaptation of our Western perception of Art
This training course is addressed to both beginners, attentive to entering into the 'spirit of the gesture' as to confirmed painters.
Topics of the training
For the beginners, the "gentleman" studied for year 2017-2018 will be the Bamboo
For the advanced and confirmed painters, the themes recover the techniques of the Bamboo (level 4 and 5), lotuses, trees and according to their technical level the landscapes.
The training will begin at 9.30am the first morning. You have to be in the room at 9.15am.

Material for painting
If you are a beginner and in order to avoid a difficult learning due to a poor quality of material, we suggest the following material* :
- 50 pieces of exercice paper
- 50 pieces of craft xuan paper
- a bottle of black ink from Takamatsu or china ink,
- a felt,
- 2 brushes medium and small

Place of the training
The house of l'île Blanche is situated in the borders of Côtes d'Armor and Finistère, in a charming area, near the sea and and in park, with space and silence. This house is situated in a castle built in 1661 by the shipowner Pierre de la Haye and stays the testimony of the local maritime activity connected to the business of the linen.
In 1903, the manor house becomes the property of Mister Norton, legal advisor of the vice king of India.
On the initiative of his wife, the house is transformed into a castle with turrets, portico of entrance, pinnacle, dancing room. The parties follow one another, but in 1924 Mr Norton puts on sale the property.
Acquired in 1926 by the Congregation of the Girls of the Holy Spirit, the house is converted little by little in a house of welcome in the direction of a human ressourcement.
The Ile Blanche jis situated in a park raised right in the Trégor "feet in the water" on the handle of Porz Morvan.
